  • PRODUCT PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
  • REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

 

 

1. PRODUCT PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

 

The Product Packaging Development Manager who will report to The Regional R&D Manager (West Africa) will be responsible for the research & development of packaging assemblies and products, as well as ensure the execution of trials (pilot and industrial) analysis, data collection and troubleshooting.

 

The ideal candidate must be able to represent R&D interest within the company during all projects, across the region covered by FanMilk West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso)

 

The position occupant will play a pivotal role within the R&D space by driving innovation, productivity and renovation. The ideal applicant must have experience in R&D, New Product Development project management. Exposure to pack development is key for success in this role. Also experience within the dairy or FMCG manufacturing industry would be an advantage.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

 

B. Sc. Food & Nutrition Science, or B. Sc. Biochemistry, or B. Sc. Chemistry or, B. Sc. Chemical Engineering, or B. Sc. Biological Science, or B. Sc. Materials Science or Higher Diploma in Food Technology.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in FMCG, delivering R&D projects (NPD and renovation), Food Technology and Processing skills.

 

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in packaging engineering in the food industry would be an advantage

 

  • Knowledge in food industry (long life or fresh products), polyolefins (PE, PP, HDPE, PS), barriers properties of packaging materials

 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast pace environment

 

  • Demonstrated leadership in cross functional teams involving marketing, sales, purchasing and manufacturing in the development of new products

 

KEY SKILLS

 

  • Demonstrated project management skills

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office), numeracy and analytical skills

 

  • Self-starter, works independently and demonstrated ability to bring new unsolicited ideas and solutions to the table.

 

  • Project design skills

 

  • Problem-solving skills

 

  • Good attention to detail

 

  • Good teamwork abilities

2.  REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (CENTRAL SALES AREA – ASHANTI, B/A, WEST)

The Regional Sales Manager shall report to the National Sales Manager, and he/she shall be responsible for the achievement of regional sales operational objectives in the region that has been assigned by the company. To achieve this, he/she must develop and implement strategies for market activities within the broad scope of corporate strategies including sound sales force management. He/she must also contribute to the development of overall sales strategies.

The Regional Sales Manager shall be required to ensure the induction of sales operatives in his/her territory and also provide technical and functional leadership.


 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

 

Good first Degree in Sales & Marketing or Sales Management, a good first degree from a recognized plus post graduate diploma of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK).

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ post qualification working experience as a Regional Sales Manager in FMCG.

 

  • Good management of both indoor and outdoor sales channels.

 

  • Good knowledge of the management of both frozen and ambient products.

 

  • Ability to operate as a member of cross functional teams involving marketing, purchasing, supply chain and manufacturing in the development of systems for efficient operations
